Sweet Tooth for sweetgreen

I'm not much of a candy eater. Probably because my dad never let me have any when I was little. He strongly believed I would lose all of my teeth to cavities if I ate candy.

That being said, I do not have much of a sweet tooth, but my teeth are definitely sweet on sweetgreen.

A few months ago, I was strolling around the West Village during lunch time to see what I wanted to eat. Then, I saw a line wrapped a place that I assumed must have some really good food.

I was too hungry to wait on line, so I settled on Subway. But one day, I roamed back to it.

I decided to visit earlier at around 11:45AM to beat the noon lunch crowd. I went inside, got greeted right away, and ordered the Kale Caesar Salad with tofu instead of chicken. They make toss the salad right in front of you and ask how much dressing you want. I usually go for medium.

The past few weeks I have not been able to stop thinking about this salad. I was hooked since first bite. No matter what, I need to have my sweetgreen fix at least once or twice a week.

Not to mention, sweetgreen is such cute spot with great workers who always smile and look happy at their jobs. I always feel my salad is made with a little love.

Can I also mention that their salad options are less than $10? In New York, that is almost unheard of.

I would have taken pictures of the inside, but it was crowded my last visit. It would've been more of the other people hooked on sweetgreen than the actual atmosphere. However, I did sneak a pic of my birkenstocks underneath the tile floor.

All the above is proof why I am so sweet on sweetgreen. The Kale Caesar, the price, the atmosphere, the service are all ingredients for the perfect experience.

Now I am understanding why my dad was so protective of me not eating candy. If I was as obsessed with candy as I am with sweetgreen, I would have a serious cavity problem.

Moral of the story: I strongly recommend this spot for a healthier alternative to sweets!
